Bouncer in Florida used chokehold ("sleeperhold") on a patron
Admittedly, one bouncer beat him while another put him into a "sleeperhold" which caused him to become unconscious.
The Port St. Lucie Police Department arrived on the scene first and reportedly were requested to arrest Kevin by the bouncer who was choking him. The responding officer advised the bouncer to continue to hold him as he had no jurisdiction at that location as it was not in the City Limits.[snip]
Why did the PSL Police allow the bouncer to continue to choke Kevin, once he arrived on the scene?

Nightclub Security Guards Indicted On Manslaughter Charges In New Orleans, updated June 05, 2005
Four bouncers working for Razzoo Bar & Patio in New Orlean’s French Quarter were indicted by a grand jury Thursday for their alleged role in the suffocation death of college student Levon Jones, 26, last New Year’s Eve. The guards were charged with manslaughter.

The door guards are accused of choking and restricting Mr. Jones’ breathing during an altercation triggered by the refusal to allow the student into Razzoo. The four guards wrestled Mr. Jones to the ground. One bouncer held him in a choke hold, another kneeled on his chest, while two other guards held Mr. Jones’ legs.
