It was totally inhumane, but we have to many liberals in this country that think it is God's will to starve the helpless. Sad thing is I think they really feel this way.

I just discovered that I neglected to delete this e-mail from my brother from a few months ago about media bias so I thought I would post it here:

"Why does the March 23 Associated Press newswire report of the Schiavo
story, written by Errin Hayes, now contain three missing paragraphs --
paragraphs which tend to support the position of Mary Schiavo's parents? In reading
"AOL News" this morning, I noticed that the 29-paragraph AOL report had
deleted three key paragraphs from the original AP story. These deleted paragraphs,
pertaining to Judge Charles Wilson's opinion that the feeding tubes should
indeed be reinserted, are as follows: "But Judge Charles R. Wilson said in his
dissent that Schiavo's 'imminent' death would end the case before it could
be fully considered. 'In fact, I fail to see any harm in reinserting the
feeding tube', he wrote." (paragraph #4) In his dissenting opinion Wednesday,
Wilson addressed the congressional actions." (paragraph #22) "'Congress intended
for this case to be reviewed with a fresh set of eyes,' Wilson wrote.
'Today, we are not called upon to second-guess the wisdom of Congress, but to
apply the law it has passed.'" (paragraph #23) [The slightly-longer ORIGINAL
Associated Press report, containing the missing three paragraphs, can be read on
the Drudge Report.] How many other so-called "impartial" national news
departments are selectively omitting sections of news reports that disagree with a
political point of view?"

Prolific media bias, half-turths, and downright lies, is probably why Terri did not get more support from Americans, including some FReepers.
