A young land surveyor responds "correct"!

I spend many hours deducing what would seem to be unreadable into viable text and with other text/word examples from the same document making sense of the obliterated is possible.

(L.S.I.T., I tested for P.L.S. in April, still waiting...)

Also survey plats as recorded sometimes even now are totally illegible. Those who have to read these documents anyway learn how to do it. Even more fun is deciding what they meant to say in spite of what they actually did say. Probably one out of four deed descriptions have a fatal error that would make literal reading, even if perfectly legible, partial gibberish--much like some of my posts :)
