I just read a post on conservative blog that stated few freepers were veterans (implication was that we were chicken hawks). Having conversed with many of you and met a few, I do not believe that is the case. But it did get me wondering, who among us is active or prior service veterans? Awright you freeper vets SOUND OFF!
I'm late, but I'll kick in my two cents. I'm Active Duty Army as of June 10, 2003.
Prior USN enlisted, 1980 - 1987.
USS Sterett CG-31, homeported out of Subic Bay Naval Base, Philippines
Reporting for duty SIR!!
US Navy - active duty 1974 - 1980. Reserves ... until June 2005 - when I retire.
I also have a daughter in Army Reserves, and a son at the United States Naval Academy.
Both are as conservative as I am.

AMEN
That's okers.
There's still people filtering in.
And then there's the active duty guys who'll see this on one five minute internet break, and not be able to post due to their 5 minutes being up.
Good on you, WW2 vet!!!
Thanks for saving the world.
Arioch7 out.
I didn't serve but my husband made a career of it. He served during the Korean War and the Viet Nam Conflict. He was Airborne all the way through his 20+ years. My uncle was in the Navy during WWII, my dad tried to serve in the Navy but they didn't want him because of his bad knees, and I had great-uncles who served in the Spanish-American War, WWI and WWII. I'm very proud of all of them. I can go further back and say that I had family that served in the Army for the CSA and various others who were in the Revolutionary War.
God bless him and keep him. Please let him know that we love and appreciate him SO MUCH, more than words can say.
A salute to you, military Mom, wife, Sis and daughter. Yes, that counts and say Thank You to every one of them.
I'd very much like to meet any POS who thinks I'm a "chicken hawk."
Allow me to send you this link to the perpetrator's website:
