I know Rae French, - well, never met her face-to-face, but have talked to her on the phone. Was on an e-mail list she ran, did some charity work for the list. She was very good at driving people, including me eventually, off this list (it was about crocheting - you know, a "fun" hobby chat kind of thing)

Let's just say that she has some control issues

And she really, really likes animals, more so than people
