ATLANTA (CNN) -- Jennifer Wilbanks, a Georgia woman missing since Tuesday night, has been found alive and well in New Mexico, a friend of the family told CNN.
Wilbanks was located in Albuquerque, New Mexico and told her family she had been abducted and taken there, according to John Kim, a friend of Wilbank's family.
Excerpt - story follows:CNN
Thank God. Just woke up and heard the good news. What a blessing for that family, all of whom were clearly devastated as was obvious at the presser and various interviews over the past few days.
And now the press can leave her poor fiance alone!
I think some more questions need to be answered first.
Hubby-to-be was in on it, too. They wanted ransom money from the parents
Still too many possibilities:
From Harrison's Internal Medicine (14th ed) that I have here at home:
Manifestations of Thyrotoxicosis: common manifestations include nervousness, emotional liability, inability to sleep, tremors, frequent bowel movements, excessive sweating, and heat intolerance. Weight loss is usual despite a well-maintained or increased appetite. Proximal muscle weakness with loss of strength is often manifested by difficulty climbing stairs. ....
In general, nervous systems dominate the clinical picture in younger individuals, whereas cardiovascular [heart] and myopathic [muscle] symptoms predominate in older subjects.
...Ocular signs include a characteristic stare with widened palpebral fissures, in frequent blinking, lid lag, and failure to wrinkle the brow on upward gaze. These signs result from sympathetic overstimulation and usually subside when the thyrotoxicosis is corrected. They are to be distinguished from the infiltration ophthalmopathy of Graves' disease.
If I'm the husband or the fiance and I had nothing to do with the missing party the first thing I'm going to do is help the police clear me as a suspect giving all and any information they want!
I have to admit this is very odd....my biggest question is why cut her hair at the scene....you grab and run.....
You have nailed what is bothering me the most.
That is the same thing bugging me! I've heard they do that to kids. Why to an adult?
I'm a late riser this morning and so I'm just catching up on the news. But from what I have read so-far, I have every reason to believe that the kidnap story is just that -- A story. If you go back and read my prior posts on this topic, you will see that my theory has always been that she voluntarily bolted to avoid the wedding, perhaps because she's in love with someone else, or because the big wedding (600 of their closest friend and relatives) is not what she wants, but rather what her controlling mommy and/or daddy wants, or simply because she doesn't want to marry this guy for whatever reason. I'll bet she bolted and then made up the abduction story because she's too humiliated or afraid to admit the truth.
See Post 507 re Harrison's Internal Medicine discussion of thyrotoxicosis.
No, no experience in kidnapping....LOL....why would the so-called perps take so much time at the scene and leave these handy little clues?....like I said...a lot of questions.....it could have been done by two of the dumbest criminals alive...Im not ruling anything out.....
I understand that the fiance immediately offered to take a polygraph. Jennifer's father mentioned last night that Mason had received so much conflicting advice from so many different sources, he was no longer certain which course of action to take. This comment was made right after he said how much he loved him and that he was a part of their family.
Yes. That's the oddest part about all of this... if the hair turns out to be hers. Also: wasn't she knew to jogging in that area? I thought I heard the fiance say something like that. In order to kidnap someone wouldn't there have to be some previous pattern? Wouldn't they have had to stalk her for a while? Strange story.
Yea, but you didn't have to take back the Krispy Kremes, you know.
I haven't heard all the details (just woke up and apparently they are still sketchy), but FoxNews emails seem to be running along the theme that something smells about her story so far. That was my first impression when I heard that she had somehow managed to call home from a convenience store in NM.
FoxNews countered with a brief commentary that a similar case in CA of a lady, kidnapped and cuffed in a van, did turn out to be true.
Then why her fiance's reluctance to take a polygraph test?
And the police seemed to stop the search awfully quickly. Did they suspect something?
