Well, thanks for your reply to my comments. First, the Schiavo case was not a public concern for you or me till the last year. The Sudanese genocide has been going on for more than 15 years. That puts under Daddy Bush, the White Trash, and cowboy born again Bush. So if you and the rest of the so called "Christians" wanted to care, you had many years to make up your mind.

Second, as far as if a husband or a wife should not become "ONE" according to YOUR bible, that is a new twist, if you asked me. According to our current laws the husband or the wife are considered the closest person. If you ask me, I will agree with you that the parent should be considered closer, especially in a case like that, where the dude went on with a new life and a new family. But, you must remember in our Law and Order society, we employ ZERO common sense, and only the letter of the laws applies. Why do you think that idiot Judge rather starve that woman to death then poison her? It is a legality crap. He rationalize that he was not stopping her from eating? Hence, he was not killing her, while if he had injected her with poison, he would be killing her.

Any way, all that crazy outrage annoys me to no end. I feel sorry for Terry Schiavo, and her parents, but I get upset that the stupid "Christians" should have been using their influence, and anger to save millions of other helpless Christians being slaughtered by the Muslims, instead of wasting good ink on one individual who has the misfortune of practically no quality of life.

Thank you for this reply. I had to drop off for awhile, that's why it has taken some time for me to respond. So far, of all the things you have written, this is one of the most honest.

We still have some differences of opinion, partly because I didn't write a treatise to clarify my position that leaves you with some misimpressions of me and partly because we're just going to disagree about some things (it would ne boring if we all agreed on everything, wouldn't it?).

I appreciate the anger you are experiencing, but you shouldn't blame all Christians for the plight of Christians in the Sudan. That would be like saying that all lawyers are like Felos or all judges are like Greer. They aren't, and neither are Christians - regardless of what they say about themselves. I suspect that, like most FReepers, most of us don't know what we can do or how we can help.

If you want us to try to do something, making accusations and baseless charges isn't the way to get us on your side, ok? Try stating your case calmly and posting some articles that support your point. Then, maybe we can get busy working to end the slaughter in the Sudan.
