ARTICLE SNIPPET: "A nuclear density test gauge on the federal govenment's watch list was stolen from a secured construction site in Daytona Beach, Fla., according to Local 6 News.
Police said the thieves took the item from a site on north Atlantic Avenue Monday morning. A foreman at the location said the thieves knew exactly what they were doing when they took the device, Local 6 News reported.
The gauge is used to test the density of soil. It is a common device used in Central Florida, according to the report.
However, officials said if the device fell into the wrong hands, it could be used for the wrong reasons, including terrorism, Local 6 News reported."
