A Few Prayers for Texas Cowboy!!
The Horse's Mouth | 08-Apr-05 | Tom Eaker

Prayers for TexasCowboy!

TexasCowboy has been using his hip injury as an excuse to prevent his friends from shooting his new riot gun.

Well some of us offered to take a look at it for him and he decided both a proffesional and sober opinion might make more sense.

So he found a coupon and now he is going to let some old saw-bones cut on him.

Probably a better idea than letting us do it, but a few folks feelings are still hurt!

Please all say a prayer for our Cowboy that he is back in the saddle again real soon.

Thanks for the update and ping!
Hospital food was invented as a form of interrogation, especially the so-called 'jello'.
Agreed, the home cooked stuff will be better for him.

Thanks for the ping and the link, Tonk. Always good to get news on TC.

Sounds like you are making good progress.

We'll keep up with the prayers while you keep up the hard work.

Hope to see you in a couple of months.

LOL.
Of course, the 'jello' could also be an insidious alien life form.
Haven't decided which yet.
But I'm leaning towards interrogation method since the helpful nurses usually ask you questions while you are attempting to eat the stuff.

BTW: next time I get sick will you cook for me?

Absolutely! But I'd rather you not get sick and we just do up a meal for the fun of it. :-)

We can have a virtual meal. I don't KNOCK-ON-WOOD get sick. BTW, can I ask for a side of red beans and dirty rice to go with the meal?

Like I said if TC is hungering for some real down-home cooking HE is feeling better.

When you deliver the down-home food to TC here's my Meal Grace to him before he lays back his ears and dives into feasting.

Philmont Scout Ranch Grace

For food, for raiment
For life, for opportunity
For friendship and fellowship
We thank thee, O Lord.

AMEN!

Sorry about that!

My experience with nurses specifically is more of the "They should play in the NFL" type.
(I ran into a nurse whose shoulders were far wider than mine! She could have given Refrigerator Perry a run for his money!)

Hope that doesn't add to the visual in a horrible way.

I'm with you on the virtual meal, red beans and dirty rice included.

I've printed off your prayer. TC will see is.

Now I gotta check on the cornbread and then I'm outta here for most of the day.

Bye for now.

LOL!
Actually the one who looked like she could bench press 350 was kinda cute.
Only thing was that she had a grip that would make a gorilla cry.

The linebacker nurse had no hairy moles that I could tell, but she looked like she could chew bricks to dust.
I begged the weightlifter nurse to stick around...
She took off to better places as I was there to get my arms poked full of holes.

That is some good Texas food amom.

TC is a lucky freind to have you continueing the meal deal that Nana and family started back in Texas.

KV and I had a blast a our Oceanic Science Center that as part of their program studies the Yaquina Bay we live on so it makes it so much more personal.

We enjoyed everything from the lecture about Tsunami research by a NOAA scientist and his presentation to joining the 3-6 years old kids for Indian Story Time done by a local Elder from the Siletz tribe.

Here are some pics that really don't do justice on all the wonderful learning, fun and sun he had.

This is what working to stay healthy is all about having GREAT days.

Yours are on the Horizon TC.

SO here is a HIGH NOON BUMP.

(I am nice and pleasantly tired too after being WC driver on my feet and walking all day)

Well TC,

I told you the move would be a piece of cake.

As Humblegunner's coworker Juan sez, "Cake, that cake she has already been eaten."

It is done Brother. Everything is in place and waiting for you to come home.

I just hope we moved the stuff into to right bunkhouse ..............
