Incorrect. I use BC and AD on occaision, and by no means do I imply what you suggest. BC and AD are merely conventions, not proclamations of faith.

But let's say you're right, and saying BC and AD means a proclamation fo faith. That thus means that non-Christians should NEVER use those terms. It also means that those terms are explicitly religious, and *should* be removed from schoolbooks and replaced.

Careful what you wish for...

You may have misunderstood me. My point is just that people should use what they want and nobody should feel hostility to them for saying CE or BCE. As I said, the literal translation may make some uncomfortable (2/3rds of the world). Basically do as you will but don't try to force others to do it your way.
