The Kennard Brothers (Twins), One was a CW3 good guy, the other MSG (Ba$tard) I worked in the tower next to jaws right next to the laser cannon

It was an interesting time to be at the upper levels of intelligence analysis and operational planning.

Wasn't the Signal Bn on Flak Kaserne along with the 409th ASA? I don't remember them on Sheridan.

I enjoyed Berlin and Augsburg for a total of almost 8 years. Besides the good eats and beer (wasn't a popular hangout at Auggie "Our Place"? Sucks getting old) the mission was outstanding.

I have no problem believing Reagan stared down the Soviet Union over Poland.

LOL! The laser cannon. That should raise a few eyebrows ;-)

I figured out why the name "Kennard" rang a bell. When I got off active duty I joined a reserve unit (138th Avn). There was a "Kennard" there. But neither one of those guys.

We had some sites on Flak...a TCC and telephone exchange if memory serves. Our HQ was on Reese but we were all over the place. I had folks at Schwabstadl and Landsberg as well as in Auggie proper, and we had the SATCOM facility at Bad Toelz too.

Many good times were passed there!
