Well, if they(the Supremes) are correct to do nothing while starving this poor lady, then we are on different planets. They could have done something since they are the last place these things land. They could have reversed the 11th circuit decision. The 11th circuit needs to be disbanded by Congress but, of course nothing will happen, and Terri will be forgotten. I will never set foot in this Florida county and risk having Joseph M. Greer be the judge of my speeding case or any other case I might have.
... and the congress should also be doing something. i don't care about the dems, they are irrelevant, being the minority. the repubs are in control, what are they waiting for? what are jeb and the POTUS waiting for?
SCOTUS knew it was pretty much useless because even if they sent this back to the 11th, the 11th would merely send it back to the Florida federal judge who has already shown bias.
SCOTUS is standing on the fact that this is a state issue, and the Florida legislature has already refused to do anything about it. Unfortunately, Terri's lawyers were so bad they failed to frame this in a manner that would have allowed SCOTUS to step in. They can not rewrite the pleadings for an inept attorney.
The worst thing that happened is that some really good conservative attornies were not sought out. Instead, the Shindlers depended on those who were in over their heads. About the time that some would have stepped forward to do the work pro-bono, people like Randall Terry, Larry Klayman, and Keyes stepped into the picture and everybody else backed away.
