I'm aghast at the statements of many here and many who call themselves "Christian Conservatives."

It rather screams at what's wrong with the church today. They want a God who makes the feel good not a God who demands obedience.

Amen. I've realized this about the church leadership for some time now. I've often thought that when the enemy does reign (albeit, briefly) it will be through the church rather than against it. The leadership, in my experience, tells people how to get things they want and act in their self-interests, rather than how to accept and help others. The leadership is the problem. The Pharisees did not recognixe the Christ and neither will the current church leadership... IMO.
