My ire is not directed at you. It's directed at the situation.

You are correct. You did not say I was not praying. But you did imply passivity ("...rather than take a passive role and assume God's will is being done") and further implied I was not a defender of life ("We have a certain responsibility to defend life. What happens outside of that IS beyond our control but she will not die because I passively stood by").
