That is the crux of it. We hold the Democrats' feet to the fire over trashing states' rights, separation of powers, trashing the Constitution, etc.
But what are we doing here? Are we not doing the same thing? It is clear that we are indeed.
Like you say--"What does the law say".
Our own Republican Congress just bypassed SCOTUS. Setting the emotions aside re Terri, this is a striking and blatant trashing of conservative beliefs.

Have they bypassed it though? Won't this simply take the matter to the Federal courts and then possibly to the SCOTUS?

I always thought conservatives believed in life. Terri is not, I repeat, not on life-support. Read testimony of people involved in this case and decide for yourself what should be done. Read about Michael and read testimony of a former girlfriend. There is much more to this case than you'll see or hear in the MSM.

SCOTUS isn't the last word. They are supposed to be interpreters of the word. And when their interpretation is out of whack with justice, they congress and executive branch should step in.
