The creator of ItsHappening.com, John Messner, has passed on. Please include him in your thoughts and prayers. He has done so much more for our country and the war on terror than acknowledged.. he took down al-qassam.net, al-neda.net, and HUNDREADS of other terrorist websites at his own expense. He probably foiled many of AQ's plans in doing so.
God bless this great man.
I'm a little behind in my TM reading but in case anyone missed it......

MONTERREY, Mexico Four Iraqis were detained at an airport in the border city of Mexicali for allegedly carrying false passports, and two more were caught at a highway checkpoint, authorities said Tuesday.....
Great set of links all4one.
What's up Friday?
Never mind NV. I just continued reading on and see that there is concern about the Pope's funeral. I was watching some of the coverage last night and the reporter mentioned that the security in Italy wasn't nearly as tight as it is here during high profile events. I sure hope they're prepared for anything.
That's interesting subsea06.
CDC.gov: "Marburg Hemorrhagic Fever"
Thanks to Mama Dearest for pointing to this article.
Last Update: Friday, April 1, 2005. 10:47pm (AEST)
"Suspected Marburg cases hospitalised in Italy, DR Congo"
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Italian hospital staff have put nine patients in isolation, suspected of contact with the Marburg virus, an Ebola-like killer which has broken out in Angola, the UN health organisation has said.
World Health Organisation (WHO) spokeswoman Fadela Chaib said two suspected cases had also been reported in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), across the border from the north Angola area where the outbreak began six months ago.
"Nine people who were in contact with an ill person were isolated in an Italian hospital," Ms Chaib said, without giving details of in which town or what nationality the possible victims were, or of they were ill.
Last week, an Italian paediatrician died of haemorrhagic fever in Angola, according to Medici con Africa, the relief organisation for which she worked. The WHO was unable to say whether the nine patients in Italy had been in touch with this woman.
The WHO ruled out two other suspected cases reported in Portugal earlier this week following medical tests."
That is GREAT news NW.
I'm happy for you.

"Arrest made in breach of military website"
By Alicia Caldwell
Denver Post Staff Writer
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Rafael Nuñez-Aponte, 25, of Venezuela bragged about bringing down a Web-based server network in 2001 that provided training for thousands of Air Force personnel, according to a federal arrest warrant unsealed Tuesday.
Investigators said the telecom-security expert replaced the Air Force's Web page with his own and left the World of Hell website address.
Authorities arrested Nuñez- Aponte on Saturday at an airport in Miami, said Jeff Dorschner, spokesman for the U.S. attorney's office in Denver."
Hard work pays off. Congrats on wrapping up the undergrad degree and a full scholarship to grad school.

U.S. Raises Reward for Suspect in '93 Attack
Twelve years later, one of them is still at large. From AP, with thanks to the Constantinopolitan Irredentist:
BAGHDAD The U.S. State Department said Monday that it was offering a reward of up to $5 million for information leading to the capture and conviction of the last remaining person wanted in connection with the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center.
In a statement released in the Iraqi capital, the State Department said it was looking for Abdul Rahman Yasin, 45, an Iraqi American who is believed to have helped build the bomb used in the Feb. 26, 1993, attack that killed six people.
The statement described Yasin, for whom the U.S. earlier offered a reward of $2 million, as an epileptic and said he "possibly has a noticeable chemical scar on his right thigh."
Yasin was born in Bloomington, Ind., to Iraqi parents and moved to Iraq when he was young.

Soldiers to protect nuke complex in drill
NEW LONDON, Conn.
An anti-terrorism drill designed to evaluate homeland security response is proving effective at making accurate information available quickly, officials said.
On the third day of the nation's largest ever such drill, specialized soldiers were to be deployed Wednesday to protect a nuclear power plant complex in Waterford.
The drill, which is being run in New Jersey and Connecticut, is designed to evaluate the National Response Plan, which was developed to close communication gaps exposed by the 2001 terrorist attacks.
"This is not a minor improvement. It is a quantum leap," said Coast Guard Rear Adm. David Pekoske, the primary federal official at the scene of a simulated chemical weapons attack in New London on Tuesday. "You'd be amazed at how good the information sharing is and how robust the discussion is."
Hundreds of federal agents spent most of Tuesday in New London looking for evidence in a pile of rubble on the city's waterfront. Search and rescue teams looked for dummies representing dead bodies and actors who played victims.
Under the new response system, the primary federal official's job is to coordinate all federal agencies and be a single point of contact between Washington and local officials.
Gov. M. Jodi Rell praised the state's response but said at times she wanted information faster than she could get it. Officials said some communications problems have occurred but the drill has been a success overall.
Officials operating the drill made it look like a mustard gas attack. They confirmed nearly 200 mock deaths, more than 4,600 supposed injuries and some missing people. Three mock arrests were made based on FBI warrants.
In Union, N.J., fake victims arrived at hospitals Tuesday to be treated for a mock pneumonic plague attack. Doctors, nurses and the actors all wore white face masks, and each "patient" was given a colored toe tag to signify the severity of their condition.

"Six Suspected Gang Members Arrested After Shooting"
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "PASADENA, Calif. -- Two undercover police officers following a car full of suspected gang members became involved in a shootout Tuesday night, and at least six suspects have been arrested.
Police said the suspects ran a stop sign at Buckeye street, then suddenly stopped. The driver then opened fire on the officers near the intersection of Madison Avenue and Ashtabula Street, police said. The officers fired back, and others in the car they were following continued to fire. The suspects took off on foot following the shootout."
That is one frightening scenario.
