Has anyone ever seen the "textbooks" that are always cited in these kinds of articles? Writers often mention them but never talk about titles or publishers. I think the article would be stronger if it gave this information.

One list of insidious publications and textbooks can be found in the recently released Freedom House Report titled "SAUDI PUBLICATIONS ON HATE IDEOLOGY FILL AMERICAN MOSQUES."

Download the 90 page report in PDF format here:

http://freedomhouse.org/

(scroll to bottom of front page and look for Freedom House 2003 Annual Report)

I recommend reading the 4-page "Methodology" near the front, and James Woolsey's 3-page Foreward. Then skip to the bibliography near the end, which lists 57 radical publications & texts found in the major mosques surveyed for this report. Here's one example:

51. The American Campaign To Destroy Islam. Hizbu-Tahreer, 1996. Collected from Masjid Al-Islam, Washington, D.C., 12/10/03.

I think we have seen the photographed pages of Palestinian textbooks here on FR, I am pretty sure, that say basically the same thing about non-Muslims and Jews.

I know there is a big school not too far from here, in the O.C. I wonder if it is also funded by the Saudis - anyone know?
