Maybe I'm wrong, but seems to me that Gov. Jeb Bush could have stopped this horror story long ago. First of all, no one such as the estranged husband Michael with a live-in mistress and history of pulling the feeding tube as well as possibly having caused Terri's condition, should be allowed to be her guardian.

Jeb Bush says he lacks jurisdiction in the case. Maybe the office of FL governor is "institutionally weak." Imagine FL's first appointed governor, Andrew Jackson, being told that his office is "institutionally weak." I don't think ol' Andy would have bought that line a second.
