He's 37 years old. Di Caprio is 7 years younger than him ! Johnny Depp and Don Cheadle are both just 3 years older. Eastwood has gotten so many awards and isnt wanting. Foxx lost to Morgan Freeman for Best Supporting Actor couple years ago, so this was very fair to give it to him this time around.

This is one of the aspects of awards ceremonies that I find repugnant. The awards should be made based upon the current period's works, not past achievements, or making redress for past oversights (i.e. Hollywood version of affirmative action). There is way too much "he shoulkd have got it last year, so this year he desrves to win" nonsense. That kind of POV gave us Bill Clinton.
