I don't know how old your young adult child is, but the correct answer is:

It's not about who they love, honey, it's about who they have sex with and why. Your (mom/dad) and I love lots of peoplel, including you children. But our sexual love is reserved for each other as G-d intended it to be. One of the evidences that homosexuals have a problem is that they can't seem to see the difference. (Of course, a lot of heterosexuals have this problem too.) Sex is a very special act that creates a permanent bond between a man and a woman so they will become a family. Everyone is born either a man or a woman and can only form such a bond with a person of the opposite sex. People who think otherwise are just confused. A man can no more "marry" a man than he can a goat.

THANKS for the help ArGee I have tried everything I can think of to open their eyes. They live in the city of liberal idiots "SANTA CRUZ"and plan to send their daughter to the other evil city BERKLY (SP) and want my finacial help. I told them it would be a cold day in HE!!. I told them to go to the other grandmother who started this mess,a flower child from Haight-Asbury back in the 60's, who of course thinks I'm evil because I have money and don't have to live off the state as she does.
