He's in NM. In that state the CC law passed in 2001 has been challenged by the liberals: so he has no means of personally protecting himself.

Like just about everything else in NM, the State Police web page is "dated" (ie. outdated). The NM legislature revamped the concealed carry law in 2003 and concealed carry licenses have been issued beginning in January 2004.
