It IS a BIG issue. WEEPING STATUES??????? You are going to DESTROY all the good that has been done for Terri. I am NOT going to stand by and be SILENT while you do it.

Gators for Terri,
I hope you get this information about the prayer vigil tomorrow. I met 2 of you on Monday at Woodside when we prayed the rosary. You gave some shirts to my children. (Everyone likes the shirts and they ask about them when we go to pray at the hospice) I hope you can come tomorrow. There is someone who is working to get Mel Gibson to come sometime in the future. God willing this may work out. God bless you for all you do!

In Christ,
Chris Nestor

+JMJ+ Dear Friends,

Sunday evening the Pilgrim Virgin statue of Fatima will be at the Woodside Hospice at 7 pm. This is the statue commissioned by the Bishop of Fatima October 13, 1947 to travel the world.

We will be having a candlelight prayer service and rosary. Please arrive a little before 7pm and bring your rosary and a candle. (Battery operated candles would be wonderful for the children so they can participate also)

Here is a brief history of the Pilgrim statue through which God has worked great miracles throughout the world:

The history of the International Pilgrim Virgin Statue begins in 1946. At that time, after the youth of Portugal attended a Congress in Fatima, they took the Statue from display in the Cova on pilgrimage to Lisbon. As they walked the route they stopped at the towns and people gathered to pray. In Lisbon when they entered the cathedral, the miracle of doves occurred. Many other phenomena also occurred inspiring devotion and inspiring the fervor among the people.

The statue was returned to its place in the Cova de Iria but many people wished for a visit in their own communities. The Bishop asked Sr. Lucia in a letter about sending the statue on tour. Sr. Lucia responded with a letter suggesting that the new statue, just then being made, by the famous sculptor Jose Thedim be used as a pilgrim statue. The Bishop agreed and, on May 13, 1947, this new statue was blessed and named the International Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima.

Almost before it began its journey, so many places wanted her visit that it was realized a second statue should also be blessed. This second statue, made also by Jose Thedim, was completed and blessed by the Bishop of Fatima on October 13, 1947 (Exactly 30 years to the day after the great miracle of the sun which was to draw the world's attention to Mary's message.)

This second statue was en route from Palm Beach to Minnesota and it will be here for our prayers on Sunday. Please come and invite others by: passing along this e-mail, announcements at church, or phone calls.

We pray Our Lady of Fatima will intercede for Terri, our court system, and our legislature.

If you need directions or assistance please call Chris 727-397-2561 or e-mail chrisnestor@juno.com

In Christ, Chris

TA How many people are present at this "vigil"?? A handful, a dozen? a couple of dozen? If that's all that can be rounded up, this is NOT an effective PROTEST. I was of the opinion that this was a PROTEST against killing innocent people. I would think that the ideal would be that we would want the citizens of Florida first, and then other states, and countries to realize what this situation is about. I suggested nicely that some of you (not you TA) give this some thought? Obviously, you are not willing to do that. So be it. The little fringe elements which is what this is going to be perceived as, gives EVERYBODY who wants to kill Terri, the absolute perfect COVER. There are only a FEW religious people who don't like the Judges rulings. No big deal. This is very closed minded of some of you.
