Still, so long as the FL voters continue to ratify these corrupt judges, nothing will ever change. The electorate needs needs education in FL.

What fraction of judges seeking reelection don't win by at least a 70% margin?

Well, there was no request for a change of venue because there was no jury in regard to dehydrating poor Terri. And the dictatorial judge ruled that he was "in charge" and would remain so. He warned that she could be fed nothing by mouth.

A priest told a friend of mine that Bishop Robert Lynch warned the priests in the diocese not to discuss Terri's case. The few priests who have defended Terri's right to life were ostracized by Lynch and other priests.

Another friend of mine was scheduled to give a talk on a respect life topic in Gainesville, Florida. He found out today that he cannot mention Terri's name in his talk because the subject was banned from all dioceses in the State of Florida.

The Florida bishops are wimps. What are they afraid of?

If the person explicitly mentioned the Pope's statements on the subject, what right would his superiors have to forbid that? Methinks there is a war in that diocese and the battle needs to be joined.

"Methinks there is a war in that diocese and the battle needs to be joined."

There is a war between good and evil in Lynch's diocese. People have complained about his behavior to the Vatican and the Apostolic Nuncio in Washington D.C. with no results.

flsenate.gov 765.105 Review of surrogate or proxy's decision.-- The patient's family, the health care facility, or the attending physician, or any other interested person who may reasonably be expected to be directly affected by the surrogate or proxy's decision concerning any health care decision may seek expedited jucicial intervention pursuant to rule 5.900 of the Florida Probate Rules, if that person believes:

(1) The surrogate or proxy's decision is not in accord with the patient's known desires or the provisions of this chapter.

Atty George Felos has not proved beyond a reasonable doubt that Terri Schindler Schiavo ever told her husband, Michael, or members of his family, that she did not want to be kept alive by artificial feeding or tubes.

To the contrary, in 1981, before Terri met Michael, she became angered at her best friend, Diane Meyer, for making a cruel, inappropriate, joke about comatose Karen Ann Quinlan.

Secondly, in order to marry Terri, Michael Schiavo consented to instruction at Terri's Roman Catholic Church. He would know full well Terri's religious convictions, beliefs, that she would not consent to ending her life unnaturally or prematurely.

In that marriage ceremony, both he and Terri would have vowed to love, honor, and cherish (obey for Terri?) till death we do part.

If A.G. Crist picks and chooses which disabled folks he wants to help, & which he does not, it sure sounds politically-motivated to me.

Coleus,
Please read Post #2163 on this thread.

Can't priests who are harrassed by a bishop for following the Pope's wishes be reported to a head bishop, or the U.S. Catholic Conference of Bishops?

Please advise if you know the answer to this.

Thanx,

Sun

Furthermore, 765.106 Preservation of existing rights.--The provisions of this chapter are cumulative to the existing law regarding an individual's right to consent, or refuse to consent, to medical treatment and do not impair any existing rights or responsibilities which a health care provider, a patient, including a minor, competent or incompetent person, or a patient's family may have under the common law , Federal Constitution, State Constitution, or statutes of this state.

Unless I am laboring under a delusion, I believe the Schindlers are still considered Terri's family.

What if people start making their donation checks payable to the national church?

On POSSIBLY as early as Tuesday, February 22, 2005, the Courts might have Terri's feeding tube removed for the THIRD time.

For any "newbees" to this thread, here are the numbers to call. Ask them to save Terri Schiavo by NOT allowing her to starve to death. Mon., Feb. 21, is NOT a Florida state holiday, so happy calling!

If you don't have time to call all of the numbers, please at least call one number (or e-mail). Calling is better than sending an e-mail, but please at least do something.
jeb.bush@myflorida.com
Gov. Jeb Bush 850-488-4441
Governor's Legislative Affairs Office: 1-850-488-5000

FL Legislature Senate President Tom Lee: 1-850-487-5072

FL Legislature Speaker fo the House Allen Bense: 1-850-488-1450

Attorney General Charlie Crist:
PHONE 850-414-3300

FAX 850-410-1630
ag@oag.state.fl.us

From a post from Floriduh Voter about A.G. Charlie Crist: FLA AG Crist's staff said to a caller "Crist it the attorney for the STATE, not for individuals." Well, THEN HE BETTER QUIT HELPING THE PARAPLEGIC WHO GOT KICKED OFF A US AIRWAYS FLIGHT. Either you are working for the people or the state and the Fla AG HAS A CIVIL RIGHTS DEPT.

Sun says: It looks like A.G. Charlie Crist is playing politics by choosing which disabled person he wants to help, & which he does not. I guess he thinks that helping a paraplegic is more popular with Florida VOTERS.

Terri phone # bump!

Florida Baptist Convention
1-800-226-8584 or 1-904-396-2351
there is also a contact form on their website...
http://www.flbaptist.org/assets/asp/contact/contactus.asp?e=WEBSERVANT*FLBAPTIST%7Eorg

Why is a judge who is authorizing the starvation of an innocent woman in good standing with his Baptist church? Southern Baptists are pro-life. Not positive if Greer's church is SBC but it can't hurt to start contacting them.

Excellent idea, but most are fearful of angering a bishop.

No, in the eyes of the law in FL (and probably all states for that matter) the Schindlers are NOT Terri's family from the LEGAL end of the deal. This is one of the few times that liberal judges take "marriage" seriously. There is simply no explanation for this other than the love of euthanasia by George W. Greer and his judicial colleagues.

That is pitiful. I hope that some of them speak loudly! There is an article here somewhere from the Catholic Medical Association.

And what would the angered bishop do?

has not proved beyond a reasonable doubt

Not required in a civil matter. "Reasonable doubt" is the standard for a criminal case. Civil executions need only "preponderance of the evidence," which George W. Greer obtained from Michael R. Schiavo's blatant hearsay. And the people there believe more in George W. Greer than they do in moral standing.

He would probably come to the congregation and stomp a wooden cane of some kind and warn the people to "repent" or else!

This is one of the few times that liberal judges take "marriage" seriously.

Nonsense. To allow a married man to father two children by another woman, move in with her, and promise to marry her, without forfeiting any and all rights and authority as husband to his wife, is to make a mockery of marriage.
