"Yeah while your waiting for Satan to lose find time to consul the tens of millions murdered under communism and those being murdered for their faith in the Sudan etc etc"

I can't speak for the other person you were talking with, butI can only say that it is because of my faith (which includes my faith in a God that would not lie to me) that the messages of Bible are true, certain, and reliable that I understand that acts of love -- no matter how simple or howing seemingly inconsequential -- are very powerful.

I'm not spending my time on this planet sitting around wating for Satan to lose (although I absolutely certain that he will lose).

And I may not be able to help out in any tangible way the people in Sudan, I do pray for them. I somehow think (it's the faith thing) that bringing my personal concern about the plight of people suffering in the Sudan to the Creator of the Entire Universe might have some effect.

But for those who actually live closer to me that the suffering people in the Sudan, I not only pray, but I try to do, as far asd I am able, something to alleviate their suffering.

I used to be upset that I could not go and "consul" people who were suffering overseas. Then I realilzed that there were people suffering right where I live. And I came to understand that God just might have me where I am precisely to help those who are also right where I am.

For me, helping those who are suffering as I am able, and praying for those who are suffering but who live too far away for me to help sure beats sitting around thinking up reasons why God doesn't exist.

"I'm not spending my time on this planet sitting around wating for Satan to lose

That's good because he has already lost. [ 2 Peter 2:4; Jude 6 Luke 10:18; Isaiah 14:12 Rev.20:10]

Background: Everything God created was "good" - the angelic world did not have evil angels or demons at that time. [Genesis 1:31].

But sometime between the events of Genesis 1:31 and Gen. 3:1, we find that some of the angels had turned against God (sinned) and became evil. By that time, we find their leader, the "Adversary" [Satan], in the form of a serpent, successfully tempting Eve to sin, also. [Gen.3:1-5]

There is no great "struggle between good and evil", Satan can only do what The Almighty Supreme Sovereign Creator God gives him permission to do and nothing more. [Job 1:12; 2:6; Isa. 46:9-10; Mark 1:27]

Neither he, nor any of his demons, have any power over God's people to take them out of his hand. [Romans 8:31-39; Luke 10:17; James 4:7; Acts 8:7; 16:18; 1 Pet.5:8-9; 1 John 3:8; Luke 3:16; Acts 1:8; 2:16, etc.]
