As well he should! Sponge Bob isn't gay, he's a do-good little geek of a character, who just wants to make a solid contribution to the world in which he lives. He never complains about anything, always seeing the positive side of situations and is a great role model for young people.

If the gays have managed to co-opt his character, it might be because they like his positive outlook, but I've been watching closely, along with my kids and have never seen any homosexual side to this cartoon character's portrayal.

I am in agreement with you; Spongebob is watched daily here, and I haven't found a deceiving message YET.

I just hope this will not force me to turn off another fun to watch show.

My (10 y.o.) nephew is the only kid (of two) in his school who can't stand Sponge Bob. He thinks he's "a dork."

I kid him a lot about it, even got him a huge "Sponge Bob" throw blanket for Christmas, as a friendly joke.

I agree. Characters like Sponge Bob are developed for the good "characteristics" they have. I personally get so sick and tired of the gay/lesbian/transgendered/extremely confused gang and agenda hijacking icons such as these.
