Respect the person not necessarily his beliefs which is the summary of my comments.
A lot of people who are promoting acceptance of sodomy also are against smoking and fast food - which take far fewer years off one's lifespan.
If it involves anything sexual, have him arrested and put in jail. If your heterosexual neighbor tries to teach your daughter about heterosexual sex, arrest him and put him in jail.
The use of the word is inappropriate. It implies that one should "show deferential regard for" and that one should "relate" to as well as "avoid interference with".
I am quite sure that their use of the word is not meant to convey #2.
You may certianly hold homosexuals in high esteem, there is no requirement for anybody else to. Liberals choose words very carefully. Tolerate morphs into respect, "clump of cells" dehumainzes and "choice" means killing babies on the way out.
I'm not buying what you're selling.
I repeat, garbanzo, "If you ask any person who's been in any Teacher Education Program at almost any college, they will confirm there is a "plot" to undermine/challenge parental authority and values. It doesn't stop/begin with the homosexual lifestyle, although this is one major part of the NEA's agenda; they begin to inculcate the teachers while they are in college during their education in the Teacher Education Programs. Again, I say, ask any person who has been in any Teacher Education Program at almost any college and they will confirm this, if they are being honest.
I will not respect the person who does this either. Why should I respect those who choose to be evil?
How does a parent compete with that, other than pull them out and homeschool their kids?
So you think people who disagree with you ought be killed for example? Or just deprived of legal rights?
That is just crap! If something must be "tolerated" the starting assumption must be that it is "wrong". Why else should it be tolerated.
Not every person is a treasure either. I'm not sure anyone outside the homo community would call the two deviants that murdered Jessie Dirkising "treasures."
Diversity as strength is just a liberal platitude used to draw in the "group rights" crowd to their ticket. No one has ever given a proper explanation of how our differences are our strength. Its just hollow pap - mind candy for the PC dummies.
Predjudice and discrimination is something that we should do more of. I am predjudiced against mean or disrespecful Children playing with mine and I discriminate against them heavily when it comes to who my kids will associate. I am predjudiced against people who live destructive lifestyles, such as drug users and alchoholics, and I discriminate against them by non association. I am predjudiced against the rap culture and the misogynist lyrics of their music, therefore I discriminate against using my free time to listen to that crap. I am predjudiced in favor of my wife, therefore I have discriminated against every other woman on the face of this earth as to whom I will committ my life to.
It is pure BS to have this "diversity" mantra shoved down our throats without anyone ever taking the time to actually investigate whether it is truly our strength(no way) or just mindless PC drivel.
Is the plot masterminded by the Greys or the Illuminati?
Truth is never obligated to tolerate error.
An analogy, suppose someone holds to the belief that 2+2=5, a charitable person would correct them. If they insisted on maintaining this belief it wouldn't be a reason to persecute them and one may decide to tolerate it, for holding to this error really only hurts them initially, but they still should be corrected.
The problem lies in when they begin to spread this error to others, like let's say your accountant, the fiscal manager of a company, your child's school teacher. This is when the live and let live attitude will not do as a response.
The whole tolerance pledge assumes moral relativity, religious indifference, and the non existence of objective truth.
By resorting to sarcasm, you obviously can't allow yourself to hold a discussion on what the teachers are being trained to do on any truthful level.
Watch out for the http://www.whitehouse.--- ! Insert .com and you'll be whisked away to a porn site. For the record (and you probably know this), it's .gov.
G/greeting.
i've been lurking for several months, but haven't found a place to do a proper introduction...So hello.
Now...on to the topic at hand...
Working as a cosmetologist, and living in a very gay town(Santa Fe), i've known a lot of queers, and the one thing they all say is that they knew from a very young age that they were gay. i've yet to meet one that was "indoctrinated" into the lifestyle. So while there are a lot of things in this world O/one should be concerned about when raising children, that isn't one of them. No one can turn Y/your kid gay.
While i respect that E/everyone is intitled to an opinion on the nature of it, whether it's a sin, or perverted, or okay, shouldn't some level of tolorence be taught? If for no other reason than to prevent the loss of O/one's own child to the prison system because they've beaten or murdered(or with the current social trends, said something mean to...*gasp*) a "perverted fag"?
My littlest grandsons love this program too!
This is disgusting.
Please show me where I said that. Having no respect for someone does not equate doing them harm.
If you think it does then perhaps you should consider what it is in you that makes you think that way.
Having no respect means just having no respect.
how creepy!
My (10 y.o.) nephew is the only kid (of two) in his school who can't stand Sponge Bob. He thinks he's "a dork."
I kid him a lot about it, even got him a huge "Sponge Bob" throw blanket for Christmas, as a friendly joke.
I agree. Characters like Sponge Bob are developed for the good "characteristics" they have. I personally get so sick and tired of the gay/lesbian/transgendered/extremely confused gang and agenda hijacking icons such as these.
Well, I sit back and take in all the forces out there that are trying to re-arrange our thought patterns. Mind control comes to mind here.
Something isn't right and it frightens me, because there isn't much "I" can do about it. :(
