Ghost ping...
Ghost ping...
Thanks for the ping!
It looks like smoke to me. Is there glass or something else causing a reflection behind them?
I once got a serious case of the willies on a tour of the Alamo, one of the rooms just spooked the hell out of me, I had to get out of there quickly. Did some reading, evidently people see and feel things there all the time...
Being a former owner fo a digital camera, it looks like she exhaled when she took the shot.
That smoke is the heat from her breath.
NOT a ghost/
She's wearing a "scoop neck" dress, and kicking her right foot in the air...
Or, maybe it's just smoke..
It may be smoke, it may not be.
Since they took another pic, it seems like it may have been the real thing.
It does not have the characteristics of les flare or reflection etc. that come from digital cameras.
Whatever it took a pic of is real.
Due to the obvious cigarette in her hand, I am not as ready to jump on this being legit as I am in some cases.
I have seen lots of photos that clearly show something paranormal....this is just one I can't bite on.
It could be the smoke was gone enough to not register in the next pic.
Oh, remember the devil's face in the smoke on 9/11/01? It was an AP photo, no tricks they swore. You did not have to stare at the photo to see the face. It sure looked real.
I had a similar experience taking a picture in a quaint old bar in Plum Island, MA a few years ago. Used a disposable camera and was photographing old murals on the wall. After the photos were developed I saw images quite similar to these in one photo (but not in the others). There were eight streaky wisps of light "flying" through the room that looked more like angel than human forms. Sent a copy to my friend who owned the bar and she said the place was definitely haunted and that a number of her employees had either seen things or quit working there because of it.
Missippy ping
interesting ping.
I would be interested to see if the previous picture in the camera was that of the bride sitting in a chair with her right leg lifted and the groom, to the right and looking up at her as he's kneeling down and removing her garter.
I agree it could smoke. As someone else mentioned, the flash could have bounced off the smoke. If it was a very still night like the author says, it could have taken along time for the smoke to disapate.
I was visiting my mom and dad a few years ago and my mom had one or two frames left on a roll. She snapped a picture of me when I wasn't looking while I was sitting on the couch looking at the Sunday paper. My brother was there and a smoker. When she got the picture back there was all this white haze around me- smoke! It looked very, very eerie, but it was not ghostly at all. It very much looked like this picture.
It's smoke. You don't need much smoke to cause a reflection, when you catch it just right. That is what has happened here. The "ghost" is nothing more than a reflection of light froma small amount of smoke, about the amount you would get from one smoker.
Very interesting.
Do you have a picture of the bride you can show us?
I don't see devils or soldiers. I see a lady dressed like a bride could be with a scoop neckline, with her leg raised up and her right arm extended out like for balance. I even see shoulder length hair and a bodice. And I kind of see what could be earrings. I think it could be somehow a picture of the bride overlapping, as it were. Plus I don't think the image goes behind the man. I think it goes in front of him (or on top of his picture). We just cannot see it very well because of the color of his shirt.
But I am not a naysayer. I had my own ghost experience and who am I to say anything. This could be anything. I just wish I could see the soldier aspect. I'll keep looking from time to time. Thank you for this intriguing interlude.
I meant to mention that there are similar pictures at this website. There are several that feature this smoke idea. Since you are interested you might like to compare your picture.
