Zimbabwe's ruling Zanu-PF party's central committee apparently has decided to confiscate all remaining farms still owned by white farmers, reported the Zimbabwean website, Zimonline, on Monday.
About 500 farms out of the initial 4 500 are still in white hands.
The first farm to fall prey to this decision is that of well-known cricketer Dennis Streak, father of Heath, the former cricket captain.
This decision, which is discussed in a secret report of the Zanu-PF's central committee, clashes with a statement by President Robert Mugabe and his cabinet that the land-reform process in Zimbabwe has been completed.
The report reads: "The resolution, which sources in the party's inner circles believe will definitely be implemented in the next couple of months, will mean the 500 white farmers who have managed to retain their land until now will definitely lose it."
Granted permission to stay on
The Heath farm, near Bulawayo, was listed for a government takeover as long as two years ago, but the Streaks appealed against the decision.
They were granted permission to stay on the farm while waiting for the appeal decision to come through, but this week it became clear that the die had been cast and the family would have to move.
Streak was not available for comment on Tuesday, but his wife, Shona, confirmed the news.
Meanwhile, Zimbabwe's official inflation rate dropped to 149.3% last month, down from 209% in October, said the state central statistical office on Tuesday.
The new rate still leaves Zimbabwe with the highest inflation in the world.

its ok they can take all of them and then starve to death. I seen a big story on this and read some too. Basicly these were huge farms which employed a lot of people and produced massive harvests that were exported to all nations that bordered zimbabwe. After they are taken away and re-distributed most of them lies without use while small plots are used by those who wanted them taken away to feed themselves and their family. Its ok 1 person can feed himself now while 1000 starve ...

I assume your questions are rhetorical. Because of "land reform" people are starving and child prostitution is rampant. AIDS is also rapidly killing the population.
It's not just a racist crime that's going on. It's genocide.
The only surprise is that it took this long. When they run out of things to steal we'll see a meltdown, with the real wealthy taking up residence in Monaco and the rest fighting over the scraps. That is likely to get very ugly indeed, and I wouldn't care to be down there when it happens.
It is already happening in the U.S. under the guise of the U.N. plan to re-wild the United States. The confiscation of hundreds of thousands of acres and putting them under the management and regulation of the forest service. It is time for Civil War 2, but that is probably the corner the govt. is trying to push the citizens into therefore giving it (fed. govt.) the excuse to do away with those who oppose it. This is beginning to look like another Waco on the horizon, but of much greater proportions.

Read the article closely.There is some real irony here.Streak's wife is named SHONA which means she is most assuredly Black African since the Shona people are one of the two major ethnic groups in Zimbabwe.
Or maybe she is a white chick who changed her name from Victoria!
Africa is going through a huge imigration of chinese and other orientals. Through war and aids, africans will become the minority...well maybe not totally, but the orientals will be in charge one day one way or another. Africans will wish the whites were back in charge as the orientals will not treat them as well.
Why should Mugabe worry? He'll still be eating regularly.
He's brought,in only a few years,the breadbasket of southern Africa to the brink of stavation.
