I am in favor of capital punishment for cases like this. I do not accept insanity as a defense for anything.
Well, I can understand why being insane would cause you to do dopey things. It shouldn’t be a defense that protects you from punishment though.
Rather than “not guilty by reason of insanity,” it should be something like “guilty AND insane” or “guilty due to insanity.”
Something like that. I realize that I’m pissing into a 50 mph headwind regarding such things though…

Gotta agree with you. OK, so they're insane. They murdered babies, so they should die. Not fit for life in our society. Excuses are like...well you know the rest.
