Lakoff says Republicans -- through their elaborate think tanks that train them to influence the media -- have learned how to speak to voters in simple terms.

Since when has the media been on our side? The Republicans have learned to manipulate the media? We wish. The truth shines through nonetheless, but the Democrats are so blind that they can't see beyond their own insular fences.

We didn't learn to use the old media. We developed our own media and did an end-around. They still haven't realized this.
