I don't understand?

I thought that both f22 and jtf-35 where in production and that nothing can stop it now????

Are they in Development ? if so when will they be in production?

Who would cancel the project(s)?

What phase will they be in 4 years from now??

Okay, the F-22 is already being readied for full production and distribution to squadrons. It's coming, and soon.

The F-35 is nowhere NEAR that level of completion, and it has proven itself to be too heavy to carry a useful load of weapons and fuel. All the services want to back out of that one, and word has it that it's DOA, probably for official cancellation next year.

I just left a company where we had a long term contract with Lockeed/Martin for a particualr system on the F-22. The contract has been cut back 3 times in the past couple of years and looks like it will be cut more in the future..
