Ellen's a genuinely funny comedian. Her bits are clean, and she's not in-your-face about her orientation.

You're right. It has nothing to do with talent. Every lesbian who ever went to Hollywood made it, and solely because they were gay. Uh huh.

Her last two shows failed because of bad writers which didn't recognize that her gifts lay in self-deprecation and improvisation. Her new show allows her to be herself, performing without a net, and she's managed to charm her way to the top of the ratings heap.

You are so wrong. Her show Ellen was on for at least 4 years before she even came out. And her talk show has been on almost 2 years. So how is that failing?
