"If you're a vegan, don't work at a steakhouse and then complain about having to serve meat. If you're opposed to birth control, work at a profession that has nothing to do with it. Birth control pills have been a common feature of pharmacies since at least 1964 and the general public has a reasonable expectation of being served without the fuss. IMHO"
So should all resturants have to serve all types of food? Should a steakhouse have to serve a tofu burger? Should a vegan resturant have to serve a steak? How about this if you want the pill go to a pharmacy that carries the pill. Or, should we be able to go to Taco Bell and order a Big Mac and go to McD's and order Nachos?
McDonalds proudly advertizes their limited menu by scrupulously guarding the brand identity of their offerings. One knows in advance that one is not going to get a Whopper at a McD's. The point is customer service, not grandstanding on one's purported religious virtue, which is clearly what is going on here.
The question of coures is how many restaurants you find in a typical town and how many drugstores...
It makes one wonder if there would be such an outcry if a pharmacy didn't carry a specific class of narcotic or didn't carry Ritalin. I don't think there would.
