Illinois may technically be a "blue state" but that is just because of Chicago. Downstate Illinois and the Chicago collar counties are much more conservative. In addition, the Illinois Republican party is in a shambles b/c of our illustrious felonious former Governor George Ryan who has been indicted. There is hope in the future for the "Land of Lincoln" to return to our Republican roots! This is definitely a good start.

Yeah, Illinois is sort of like a mini-USA where the most heavily populated area(s) vote Demo while the rest vote Republican. Cook County is surrounded by a ton of Republican counties.

Thank the Lord and Founders for the Electoral College (that the MSM doesn't seem to understand).
