"Can a people that believes more fervently in the Virgin Birth than in evolution still be called an Enlightened nation?" I am embarrased to be considered a member of a species that claims the ability to reason and still can pose pose a stupid premise in the guise of a question.

Hahaha, this is too funny. I'm assuming this question comes from an "enlightened" individual who believes that life spontaneously erupts from rocks and water (the underlying premise of evolution :)
Frankly, it's a little easier for me to believe in a virgin birth than in spontaneous conception from rocks and water (i.e. the "primordial ooze"...)
