With the Arab media -- al-Jazeera especially -- operating as a non-stop 24/7 anti-American propaganda outlet, we will never be able to pring peace and stability to Iraq.

Poor guy. I'll bet he didn't shed any tears over the innocent people who have been beheaded by the terrorists.
No tears for Margaret Hassan either, who spent her life helping the Iraqis, just tears for some wild eyed fanatic from Syria or Iran who wanted another dark age of tyranny for Iraq.

I'd have shot the guy too. What's the problem here?
The problem is embedded enemy propagandists. What's next, embedded Al Queda terrorists?

I'm not defending Sites, but there was a post earlier where he stated that the Marines he's been with have behaved very professionally and with great restraint, and that this particular situation was very confusing.
Yes, he makes himself sound very reasonable as he presents this few seconds of footage without any context, without showing what went on before, without showing what these Marines have been dealing with, dead and nearly dead terrorists rigged to blow up in their faces. Sites is a perfect example of Savage's "Enemy Within." He has, while sounding so reasonable, inspired fatal hesitation by the next soldier or Marine in the same situation and ruined the life of the Marine he was filming.

Who's Michael Gross and why should anyone care what he wants? Please don't tell me it's the washed up TV actor Michael Gross, suddenly become an expert commentator on military operations and international law.

"Shooting in Iraq Mosque Angers Muslims"Maybe but I note that Mosul rolled over without much of a fight. Maybe the word is getting around. Shoot from a Mosque and it becomes a legitimate target, booby trap the wounded and they can be shot. Word needs to get around and I agree with others, leave Falujah as a standing wreck for awhile so everybody can see what resistance buys you.
To: jaykay
I agree with you on that, and that's basically what I said in the e-mail I sent him.
