You are the one who will be on the short side of this one, either way, based on your views.

Actually, you are wrong; first of all, most people on this forum are pro-life -- but the vast majority of them are not MILITANT about it; you can't guarantee that all of them would "leave" with you.

Plus, if the extreme right wing left the GOP, more than like conservative Democrats would feel comfortable here and add their numbers.

We win in one way, at least.

Oh, I know you win -- in one way: and it's the most important way to most of you: destroying the GOP as it is today; after all, you need to "teach us a lesson," right?

If the GOP muffs this term of Bush's and we get more David Souters and Sandra Day O'Connors on the Supreme Court (and ESPECIALLY if replacing Rehnquist or Scalia) then it has just written its own suicide note.

Wow. Now, you're engaging in blatant ignorance or outright intellectual dishonety - or delusional denial...

You sound like a Dem! How many "moderates" do you actually think will cross over to the GOP? MINIMAL, in relationship to the loss. 16MM Dems PLUS will have to cross over to the GOP, well not that many as we won't vote GOP.

You don't know how many, or if any, DEMS will cross to the GOP. All you do is want whatever you want and screw life and thus the GOP. You need to rethink your unsubstantiated facts. You don't even have a poll indicating what might happen. If you read FR, the Newspapers and watch TV, you will get the idea that this prolife "uprising" could cause serious damage to the GOP. We have empirical data, you only have an opinion. Opinions are like a$$hxxles, every one has them.

Wouldn't you be happier in the Dem party?
