UAE: WEBSITE NUCLEAR BOMB CLAIM, ATTRIBUTED TO AL-QAEDA

Dubai, 12 Nov. (AKI) - The ability to produce and enrich uranium to make nuclear bombs is no longer the prerogative of the world's "tyrannical crusaders", a statement signed by the the al-Qaeda terror network and published on a new Islamic 'Jihad Lion's Den Forum' website claimed this week. "Our attempts to make small nuclear bombs with great potential for destruction have succeeded", said the statement, which its authors said was targeted at the American people. "Al-Qaeda will respond harshly to your refusal to heed sheikh Osama bin Laden's warning not to re-elect the foolish Bush in the presidential elections. We tell you that this refusal will bring Allah's divine wrath upon you. He will make you the the prime target of an attack that will strike at the heart of America", the statement continued.

The message begins with the 60th verse from the 'Al-Anfal' ['The Spoils of War] chapter of the Koran: "And prepare for them you Muslims all you can recruit of strength: armed forces and mounted troops to strike terror into the hearts and minds of Allah's enemy who is your enemy, and into the hearts and minds of others whom you do not know but Allah knows them. And remember that whatever you spend in divine service you shall be reimbursed and never shall you be wronged".

I don't think so, Maybe Iran gave you a nuke but you sorrys dumb butts could never build one. And if Iran did give you one, and you use it, we will give Iran one or two of our own in return.

How credible is this newspaper source?

Strike at the heart of America - does anyone want to venture a guess exactly where this may be?

Actually, a similar policy referred to as Mutual Assured Destruction (MAD) was one of the keystones in our standoff with the Soviet Union during a little brush-up we like to call the Cold War.

The only problem is, the Soviets loved their children. A lot of Islamics will sacrifice their children (and everything else), just to kill infidels. As time goes on, I am starting to believe this madness called a religion will have to be wiped from the earth. The method is presently up for discussion, but I think we're beyond the debate, whether we realize it or not.

Our response to this should be a loud and clear message to the entire worldwide community of Islam, that should a nuke hit us or any of our proven allies, that Mecca and Medina both will be utterly wiped off the face of the earth. Immediately and irrevocably. Then we will begin our investigation as to who harbored the culprits, and whatever nation is responsible, the same fate will be forecoming. This is the only way of dealing with such a scattered and irrational enemy.

The only problem with this eminently fine idea is that Jerusalem would then become the holiest city of the Muslims and what would follow could be called, dare I say it, Armageddon...

I'm thinking a new Sting song "Because the Moslems don't love their Children", describing in his warbeling alto the process of strapping suicide bombs onto 13 year olds, the use of kids as anti landmine protection for tanks, the practice of child bride, etc.

Very good. You understood my reference, though I didn't mention it. It's weird isn't it? Sting seems to have recognized the situation to some extent with the Soviets, but he's clueless on this (anti-Bush). I see this phenomenon everywhere with entertainers. The actor who played the King in The Lord of the Rings (his name escapes me) for example. He stars in a movie whose main theme is that good should confront evil before it becomes a life and death struggle, and he's anti-Bush. Idiots.

We're going to find out, sooner or later,

If Abdul will pray, to a glowing crater.

It's Meteor Crater, about 20 some miles east of Flagstaff AZ. It's about a mile across. Very impressive tours can be had, with a great meteor museum full of artifacts, dioramas and so on.

Someone told me it would take about a hundred megatons to get that effect, but I have no idea if that's correct.

"I would hope that this option is being considered in the highest levels of the government. They cannot discuss it publicly, however."

I doubt our government would have the "stones" to follow through in this regard. However, I couldn't hope for less. It's time to let them know, and fast, that we are not going to see another American life lost in playing a politically-correct defense/offense against these terrorists or the nations supporting them.

The Sedan test (plowshare) was a 104KT device at a depth of 632 feet, which just happened to scale identically to a 1MT surface burst. It left a crater ~400 feet deep and 1200 feet across. It's at the north end of Yucca Flats, and pretty impressive.

If it's a surface burst (as a meteor impact effectively is).

It would take somewhat less for a subsurface burst.

Looks like it would be tough to crawl back up the sides if you fell over and slid to the bottom. (If you survived the slide, that is.)
