MILWAUKEE - A radio station pulled a conservative talk radio show from the airwaves Nov. 8 as members of the city's Latino community continued to protest its host and his use of an ethnic slur.
WISN Radio's parent company, Clear Channel Communications Inc., said Mark Belling's program would return but did not say when.

It may take time, but "W" made a sizeable inroad in the Hispanic vote, and even in other traditional Democrat constituencies. For example, he got twice as many black votes as in 2000, although because of the high voter turnout, it reflected only a 2% increase (from 9% to 11%).
I am not defending it but it was IKE that presided over "operation wetback" in the 50's. I guess all of us have to adjust to the times ans sensitivities but it appears that the majority culture has to do all the adjusting in today's environment.
Maybe if he had put it in a rap song.....
Heaven knows the language in rap is pretty awful, but apparently excusable if there is a catchy back beat.
You are right, it should. In practice, using such offensive terms only gets conservatives dismissed. For liberals it is just considered cute. The problem is the double standard that is a weapon wielded by liberals against conservatives.
Case in Point: Lieutenant Governor Uses Racial Slur in Black History Speech (Bustamonte Used the N Word)
Oh really? You really need to get out more and see who uses the term and how similar terms have been used throughout the history of this country. Those that called my great grandparents, aunts and uncles WOPS did so as a slur, they did not check their citizenship. And save the sticks and stones lecture, they did quite well for themselves including teaching their children and grandchildren to reject that kind of language.
Poor things - and I am sure your grandparents had the backbone to stand up for themselves without the help of scumbag lawyers, activist judges and communist politicians.
I am a LEGAL citizen of the United States of America, born and raised in Havana Cuba (I love liberals who claim to know discrimination - my first taste of mainland Americans was southern Arkansas!) spent most of my life outside the borders of the continental USA - 12 years in the USMC.
I HAVE THE RIGHT to say whatever the hell I want to scumbag bleeding heart ILLEGAL ALIENS who have NO RIGHT.
You must be too wet behind the ears to have grown up yet -- and learned the ancient nursery rhyme:
"Sticks and Stones may break my bones, but Words will never hurt me."
I add one additional line at the end ... "but I will hurt you!"
What is your excuse for the legal workers, immigrants, and new Americans from Mexico who call the illegal criminals WETBACK?
The point is the dignity with which they survived.
