Mongol General: We have won again. That is good! But what is best in life?

Mongol Warrior: The open steppe, fleet horse, falcon on your wrist, wind in your hair!

Mongol General: Wrong! Conan, what is best in life?

Conan: To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of the women!

Just underlines the fact that we need to go back to some of the energy conservation policies of the '70's - one of which would be to keep the daylight savings time all year.

Symptoms include sadness, irritability, gluttony, weight gain, menstrual difficulties and interpersonal strain.

The next four years are going to be a difficult period indeed.

SEATTLE - It has been a SAD week in Seattle, city of rain, darkness, caffeine, secularism and an 82 percent majority that voted in vain to fire President Bush.

Now that makes me happy

82 percent majority? It proves that the Democrats are a bunch of doom and gloom idiots. Now keep an eye on the suicide rate.

Awwww. Clearly what these people need is an outreach program of psychological counselling and intervention services, paid for by massive amounts of our tax dollars.

Not.

I believe the problem with most democrats is that they live depressed lives. They live in big, crowded cities, work for a union or the government, if at all, and are single whether very young or old. Many of the others are minorities who feel they are held back.

Get out of the cities and move to small town America, even if you are still near a big city. Move South. Find a job you like or at least tolerate. Volunteer somewhere. Graduate and move on. Have a family. If inclined go to Church or Temple. Mow the grass and plant something. At the least you will feel better and it's likely you or your children will become conservative.
