We voted last week here in Morganton, NC. No lines. Today, they're very long. I don't know why people put things off to the last minute.
I can't speak for anyone else, but I personally live in NY, and flew down here in person to cast my ballot. I didn't trust the absentee ballot to arrive in time (and from the sound of it, my concerns were justified).
