I have been doing work for two candidates, One a guy running for PA State House, and another one in the US House (John Peterson)... From what I'm hearing higher up in the campaigns, the GOP voting turnout in this rural area of PA (that went 62-34 to Bush) is OFF THE FRICKIN CHARTS!!!
They actually think Pennsylvania is going to goto Bush.. I'll get more when I hear it!!!!!
"Keep us posted. The folks in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia are all vile and disgust me. Only a few things make me feel shameful and one them is our Unions in this country - absolutely vile."
Vile? Get a life and some perspective -ahole
I can just imagine a smoked up lefty pothead standing in line for hours tying to vote once, nevermind twice. Every minute will seem like an hour to him, plus comming down at the same time? NA! It won't happen.
I'm calling it for BUSH......Bush 65% vs sKerry 32%
Sorry meant Pittsburgh and Philadelphia unions
I would be more inclined to think that those who haven't voted will have someone try and vote for them.
On the other hand, it might also be one half of an unlikely scenario that I posted here on FreeRepublic last spring -- in which Bush wins Pennsylvania while Kerry wins Ohio. This is not as outlandish a scenario as most pundits might think.
agree with you there
Actually have a friend who switched churches because she just no longer felt they "shared the same faith"......Came down to political issues.....She's more conservative. (and a "D" voting for "W"!)
I'm listening to laura Inghram, and she just reported that there were over 2000 votes on those machines, before voting started. She was reading from Drudge. I imagine they were removed, no?
Well since I am home on sick leave, I plan to spend the day in prayer for our President to overcome today.
and despite being sick, I still got up and went and voted.
I'm in Chambersburg, PA (South Central) as well. West side out of town was double the line at 8AM compared to 2000.
Regards,
Jim
Called my dad early this morning to tell him we need to carry PA. He'd already voted.
OK folks, I'm officially busting out my first can of Bush's Best Baked Beans...let's get this show on the roll.
I live in a Pittsburgh suburb and I'm leaving for the polls in 10 minutes. I want this state to go Bush and this thing to be over early.
Good morning Josh, any wire service or local TV in the Lancaster area showing the Amish at the polls? (Horse & buggies tied up outside?)...The Amish/Mennonite of PA could be a force...think about it...no phones to call and poll, therefore, not included in the polling data. Large families too. Keep us posted...
While standing in line to vote this morning in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, I couldn't help myself and began talking (loudly) about my 20-something year old neighbor (Capt. Mark Afflerbach) who was killed in Vietnam in 1968 by VietCong/Communists.
When I was growing up, Mark (nicknamed Whitey for his blonde hair) taught me how to swing on a rope swing, how to catch frogs, and how to climb trees.
I will never forget the day (in 1968) when four US ARmy Jeeps pulled up nextdoor. The high-ranking military brass walked briskly into the home, and although I didn't know what was going on, I later learned Mark had been killed by an incoming morter round.
A year or two later, a young punk named John Kerry began running around the country calling Mark and others like him "baby killers and war criminals."
Anyway, I was standing there recounting this episode in my life. I ended by loudly stating, "I would never in a million years vote for Kerry, a man who considers good Americans to be criminals while getting his political support from cretins like P-Diddy, or Talk Shitty, or Suck Titty, or whatever his name."
Needless to say, the poll watchers asked me to leave .... but not before I finished my story and got a short atta-boy from all the Republicans.
But you voted I hope...
I hope you got to vote first!!
We are hated by more influential people than some anonymous poster from Virginia. Thank you for your opinion, as rude as it is. We Pennsylvanians will take this into account when we give a cr*p.
