In Chappaqua...heavy turnout..at 7:15am I was #115 out of 743 eligible voters...No Clinton sightings that early, thank God..There are two EDs in our polling place..no line in ours..65 folks waiting in the other line..guess we live on the right side of the tracks, eh?..
Yeeks!
PING- what say you?
I just got back from voting in Orlando, FL. It was about a 45-minute wait in my precient, which is about 90% Hispanic. My husband waited in line over almost 2 hours earlier this morning. I had 3 of my kids with me (homeschool), and I told them that once we enter the polling place, we have to be quiet and not say who we are voting for, we let our ballots do the talking. My poor 10-year-old was trying so hard , she kept whispering, "Can I say it yet?" and I said, no, we have to wait till we're outside. As soon as we got outside, she was singing, "President Bush, President Bush, yay President Bush!"
3 votes already from our family for N.J.
I just dropped my son off at school and walked up to check on voting. There was no line at all which is a little strange for 7:45. But I usually vote after 9 or early afternoon and the line is usually small.
I dont vote there so I will go vote later and am headed to GOP headquarters on Sandhill to help out this morning.
Was in line at 6;50 a.m. here in a suburb of Philadelphia. Waited 20 minutes, not bad. We have the paper punch ballot, so, being a good citizen for Bush, I wanted to make sure I didn't have a hanging chad, so I wiggled the stylus a little to make sure it punched out all the way. Well, I broke the stylus off in the machine and couldn't get the ballot out. The election chair helped dislodge the broken point and the ballot was just fine. All in a day's work, I suppose. We've all done the best we can to see that this country remains free and strong. Go George W. Bush!!!
I finished voting here in Sterling Heights, MI at 10:15 AM. I was voter 347. My precinct is mostly Republican, and the line when I left was out the door.
The MI GOP sure has their act together with their GOTV this year. It's about time.
Jacksonville Fla Here, got my vote in voted for 4 more years :)
At about 8:00 am approx an hours wait at our polling place, glad I went this morning!
Well, I ventured in to my polling place at 6:45 am and was about 20th in line. I vote in Pacifica CA, a San Francisco Suburb so had to go across a parking lot filled with Kerry bumper stickers and many anti war stickers (probably the aging hippie poll workers) and cast 1 of probably only a dozen votes for Bush, but I feel good that I did it!!!!
GO DUBYA!!
Drizzling here in Champaign County, OH. Have been traveling house to house to babysit for "Security Moms" to be able to vote. Taking my Dem Mom (first time for Bush) to vote around 1:00pm. God, I hope she (83years old) won't punch the ballot twice. She does that thinking she will cancel out my Republican vote. My daughter is coming in around 3:00 from Ohio Northern and we will vote for "W" together. A group watched "Team America" last night and they're all pumped. Let's Roll..
Voted for "W" in Howard County, Indiana. My voting place is rural but the lines were long.
I'm in Idaho (rural area). Polls opened here at 8:00 a.m. I was there at 7:45 a.m. and still had to stand in line! I was #25 and there were approximate 50 people standing out in the cold waiting to vote. I have NEVER seen that many. There is no doubt that Bush will win Idaho, but the Republicans are still really fired up here.
I can't help thinking that if so many Republicans are turning out to vote here where Bush has an easy win, if they won't be turning out in droves in States that are close.
Hello, Mack and I are getting ready to go vote. We are in Wagoner County, so we go to Stone Bluff to vote. It's in a little Baptist Church there. Usually not very crowded.

I've always believed the single most important issue in this election was the security of the country. I believe this election is primarily a referendum on that issue. However, I don't want to minimize other important issues. I think we're liable to see a landslide today for W.
I just voted in East Boca Raton (Southern Palm Beach County). Based off the cars outside, it appeared that Bush had a slight edge. There were a lot of cars with Bush stickers and quite a few with anti-Bush/pro-Kerry graffiti on the windows.
Outside the polling place, there was a lady from "Moveon PAC" with a small table and 2 people at a table for Kerry. (All 3 people were older.) The Kerry table had free muffins and water. Interestingly, almost nobody was talking to them and nobody went for the muffins or water. One of the Kerry supporters walked the line and handed them out but that was the most interaction I saw people having with them.
The line at the polling location was the longest I have ever seen it. Normally there is 3 or 4 people in line at most. There was easily about 100 people this time and it took about 20 minutes to get through it. I talked a little bit with the people in line and although we didn't talk about politics directly, they didn't seem the Kerry type. (One was wearing a hat with an American flag on it.)
On the way home there were 2 Kerry supporters, college students, waving home made Kerry/Edwards signs at one fo the street corners. Not much enthusiasm. When I drove by I made eye contact with one of them and flipper her off, I know I shouldn't have done it but I couldn't resist. She put her sign down and didn't look happy.
Gosh, I thought schools were out country-wide on election day? I'm surprised, since so many schools are used for voting.
Any reading on how Chris Shays is doing? I was surprised to hear he's fighting for his political career and would like to believe people are holding a grudge over his vote not to impeach X42.
"I voted today"
Looking for Bush/Cheney in an F'n landslide.
