I know we work on the honor system here at Free Republic, but how am I confident that this "inside source" is correct?

Karl Rove, is that you. ;-)
Seriously, thanks. I find myself needing more reassurance this morning, although Kerry's Spot's insider scare and retraction about Ohio helped too. I still think we'll get OH and FL and be ok.

Dear God, I hope you're right. But (no offense) I'm going to wait for the official results to bring out the champagne. If Bush wins, I'll drink a glass. If Kerry wins, I'll finish the bottle.

We are picking up 3 seats in the house or are we only going to be 3 seats ahead?

My VERY HIGH UP GOP insider says Pubbies keep White House, gain 5-6 in the House and four seats in the Senate.

I still think we'll be up 3 to 5 in the Senate. And one other thing:
President Bush!

A high ranking GOP figure told me news that stated otherwise. Then he asked to bum a cigarette and shuffeled off to beg for spare change.

Thats interesting...my highly placed sources in the administration are saying 5 in the House and 3 in the Senate...
Let me place a call to DC and my buddy Marc R and I will get back to you...
To: jmstein7
I'd like to lay some serious money against your insider's opinion of the Senate pick-up. Plus 2 minimum, possibly 4.
For one, I believe that Daschle is going down. He's never run for Senate during a presidential election. Tomorrow he's swimming against the tide of a probably 20 point lead for Bush in SD.
Any coat-tails at all and Daschle's history.

Wrongo - at least 2 extra seats in the Senate. The rest is OK.
They are being conservative (go figure) so their worst disappointment is a winner and anything extra is cause for real celebrations...

To: jmstein7
Only 1 in the Senate and 3 in the House? Hell, we'll pick up four seats in the House right here in Texas.
Since you won't identify your source, I don't believe you.
