They must be scared stiff that W is going to be re-elected and their next wake-up call will be via MOAB

Well, if the idiots attack us between now and January, it's a no-win situation for them. A President can not be removed from office during war time. And we would surely be at war.

But I would much rather have a land slide at the polls!!!

What was that President's name? We went to war and he was secured as President during that whole time. Was it Truman or Rosevelt?

It was Roosevelt. But back then it was legal to keep on re-electing the President, because there was no limit on how many terms he could be elected to serve. You know that today a President cannot serve more than two terms, don't you? So Bush most certainly can be put out of office during a war, and he will be in 2009, even if he wins this election.

Actually, that's not true. Although we haven't been "at war" since 1945, there have been elections while we've been fighting.

Had Roosevelt lost an election before he died, he would have been replaced. Same with Lincoln, and any other president we've had.

I've got my dates sort of screwed up... Was the Korean war over when IKE was elected? Well, we know for a fact that Nixon was elected during Viet Nam.
