Thanks I noticed that. She must get two pay checks then, one from ABC and one from the CSM. In any event, I did notice that the article is from the April 29 edition Perhaps there is a little CYA in the article to explain away the editing.

I just blasted them to let them know I don't appreciate them trying to decide for me whether I think the tape is an issue or not. My family's well being is on the line and I told them they are actually being irresponsible for withholding information.

If it is found that ABC withheld any part of that tape from federal authorities, I believe there will be serious repercussions. That's one way to look at it, but here is my prediction:
There will be NO mention of this on tonight's network news. Instead they will lead with the following:
"In a startling development which could turn Tuesday's Presidential election on its ear, ABCCBSNBCCNN News learned today that the FBI has opened a criminal investigation into the issue of whether the Bush Administration has illegally awarded billions of dollars in Iraqi reconstruction contracts to Halliburton, the former company of Vice President Dick Cheney. Now for more on this breaking scandal which could swing the outcome on next week's election, we go to......."

idiots who want to use it on Monday to scare the pants off anyone who is thinking of voting for GW.
I disagree. We are not Spain. The vast majority of Americans will rally to their president and their country in the face of a terrorist threat. This reminds people that the terrorist threat is real, and that Bush is defeating them. It shows the desperation of our enemies to get rid of George W. Bush and replace him with a weaker president, like John Kerry.

Start emailing your local ABC affiliates as well. Let them hear our outrage over this.

Jets and helicopters flying in San Diego. Haven't heard that in awhile. Kind of creepy while reading this thread! Yesterday, someone mentioned seeing increased military planes. I did not notice any then. Today, I saw two regular military helicopters and a sh!thook. I don't see those very often at all.

Christian Science Monitor, according to previous post, claimed that they had listened to the tape. Perhaps they have a second copy? I cannot believe that ABC would consult with the CS Monitor about anything. Maybe you are correct.

You are exactly right. This is tampering with evidence -- someone had ABC has to be an idiot or is so arrogant they thought the Feds wouldn't notice.

As a Dallas Cowboy fan, I have a tape of the 1993 SuperBowl win vs. Buffalo, just after the Bills came back from that incredible deficit to beat the Houston Oilers in a playoff game. Anyway, after Emmitt Smith scored his TD to make it 17-10, at which time anyone could see the game was over, two of the Cowboy players are caught on the sidelines screaming, "This ain't Houston, baby. This ain't Houston."
Message to terrorists: "This ain't Spain, baby. This ain't Spain."

I will repeat again. The investigation into Sandy Berger's action are ongoing. My guess is, since he was a senior advisor to the Kerry campaign, that no action will be taken until well after the election. But that doesn't mean he's going to get off.

Oh Lord, I do not want you to be right. It has been my most paranoid fear for almost 10 years now. It is like a snowball rolling downhill, and I have sensed it building.
When the MSM gets rolled into it, how far off can the final mess be?

We should not provide air time that allows terrorists to become a part of our elections. In fact, it should be a law because there will always be the odd station wanting an exclusive no matter what it does to our American freedoms. Good in theory, impractical in terms of administration and application. Who decides what we can and cannot see? The Government? The MSM? With the Internet and other communications technology you can't hold back the tide of information with a law.
