Al-Qaida Infiltrated U.S. Military Meal Company?
WND ^

Posted on 10/04/2004 8:55:55 AM PDT by esryle

U.S. officials are probing the possibility the al-Qaida terrorist network sought to infiltrate a Texas company in order to contaminate ready-to-eat meals designated for the military.

A high-ranking al-Qaida operative provided information leading authorities to nearly a dozen illegal immigrants working for the McAllen, Texas-based Wornick Co., the largest supplier of the meals, according to McAllen's The Monitor newspaper.

The firm that places the workers at Wornick has been charged with conspiring to make and use false employment eligibility verification forms.

U.S. Attorney Michael Shelby explained, "Immediately after the liberation of Afghanistan from the Taliban in 2002, U.S. forces on the ground received specific information that links McAllen, Texas, by name and the Wornick facility by name to information within al-Qaida's possession."

The Texas paper noted the Department of Defense has a $67 million contract with Wornick to produce the meals.

Armed with the al-Qaida operative's information, the FBI was led to an employee-placement firm, Remedy Intelligent Staffing in McAllen, which referred a number of workers to Wornick.

"There had to be an investigation into the possibility that al-Qaida had the intention of infiltrating the Wornick Company for the purposes of contaminating -- possibly -- the MREs produced by the company," Shelby stated, according to The Monitor.

Shelby said no contaminated meals have been found, but 10 temporary employees at Remedy, involved in all aspects of assembling the meals, were convicted in July on charges of stealing Social Security numbers.

The indictment of Remedy, unsealed Thursday, was a significant event to servicemen worldwide, Shelby said, noting Wornick officials cooperated with the investigation.

Remedy's vice president, James Eckensberger, appeared in court Thursday to enter a plea of not guilty on behalf of the company.

"Remedy and all of its officers are responsible for following all federal laws and regulations concerning its own workforce, including those laws that prohibit the hiring of unauthorized workers or illegal aliens," Shelby said.

"Today's indictment alleges that Remedy hired a number of illegal aliens and did so basically knowingly and then they falsely certified that they had in fact checked the information provided by those unauthorized workers when in fact, they had never even attempted to verify the information for hundreds of people," Shelby said.

The attorney said that after the managers were confronted by the FBI with the discrepancies, they tried to conceal the fact they had not verified the illegals' information by creating false official forms and delivering them to the Joint Terrorism Task Force.

Shelby said he did not want to discuss where the undocumented workers might have obtained their fake Social Security cards.

Thanks again. Hopefully, this will point out to people that there is more than just an economic impact to overlooking illegal immigrants.

I still can't believe Tom Ridge stated publicly last week that there have been no indications that terrorists have entered this country illegally from Mexico. That is such a bald-faced lie that it had to have been made in an attempt to prevent a public uprising.

True story. A friend of mine was stationed in Pakistan at an remote USAF intel base in the '60s. They had their own support facilities, including a dining hall.

One Thanksgiving Day the entire base got sicker than a dog (vomiting, diarrhea, dysentery) and within just a few hours the base was shut down.

What happend?

The medics were able to go through food the Pakkies (they were the cooks) had thrown out, but hadn't been taken off base yet.

The Pakkies had $hi* in the turkey dressing.

Onward Muslim Soldiers.

I think the story/report you're thinking of is the one where a French company's contract (to provide meals in Marine Corps dining facilities) was renewed right after 9/11.

FROM THE KORAN ITSELF...
"HEIL HITLER" Now Upgraded to "ALLAH AKBAR?"

You may already know about this one: O ye who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians for friends. [al-Ma'idah 5:51.11]

But did you know that there are 123 verses in the Quran concerning fighting and killing for the cause of Allah? Here are but a few passages:

-Muslims are encouraged to be wholly occupied (Sura 2:273) with fighting for Allah's cause.

- Allah will give "a far richer recompense to those who fight for him" (Sura 4:96).

- Regarding infidels (unbelievers), they are the Muslim's "inveterate enemies" (Sura 4:101). Muslims are to "arrest them, besiege them and lie in ambush everywhere" (Sura 9:5) for them. They are to "seize them and put them to death wherever you find them, kill them wherever you find them, seek out the enemies of Islam relentlessly" (Sura 4:90). "Fight them until Islam reigns supreme" (Sura 2:193). "Cut off their heads, and cut off the tips of their fingers" (Sura 8:12).

- If a Muslim does not go to war, Allah will kill him (Sura 9:39). He is to be told, "the heat of war is fierce, but more fierce is the heat of Hell-fire" (Sura 9:81).

- A Muslim must "fight for the cause of Allah with the devotion due to him" (Sura 22:78)

- Muslims must make war on the infidels (unbelievers) who live around them (Sura 9:123).

- Muslims are to be "ruthless to unbelievers" (Sura 48:29).

- A Muslim should "enjoy the good things" he has gained by fighting (Sura 8:69).

- A Muslim can kill any person he wishes if it be a "just cause" (Sura 6:152).

- Allah loves those who "fight for his cause" (Sura 61:3).
Anyone who fights against Allah or renounces Islam in favor of another religion shall be "put to death or crucified or have their hands and feet cut off alternative sides" (Sura 5:34).

- Whoever changes his Islamic religion, kill him. Sahih Al-Bukhari (9:57)

- Slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captives and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush. (Koran 9:5)

- Take him and fetter him and expose him to hell fire. (Koran 69:30-37)

- I will instill terror into the hearts of the unbelievers, Smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger tips of them. (Koran 8:12)

- They should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides. (Koran 5:33)

- Know that paradise is under the shades of swords. Sahih al-Bukhari Vol 4 p55

And Speaking of Paradise...

"There will be "gushing fountains" and everyone "shall recline on jeweled couches face to face, and there shall wait on them immortal youths with bowls and ewers and a cup of purest wine." Suras (or chapters) 55 and 56 of the Quran.

"Therein are bashful virgins whom neither man nor jinnee will have touched before ... virgins as fair as corals and rubies," sura 55. A few lines later, you might remind them of "virgins chaste and fair ... they shall recline on green cushions and fine carpets."

"The smallest reward for the people of Paradise is an abode where there are 80,000 servants and 72 wives, over which stands a dome decorated with pearls, aquamarine, and ruby, as wide as the distance from Al-Jabiyyah [a Damascus suburb] to Sana'a.'"

It will be the day, God willing, you spend with the women of paradise...Know that the gardens of paradise are waiting for you in all their beauty, and the women of paradise are waiting, calling out, "Come hither, friend of God."

Why Alien Criminals Are At Large in the U.S.?

by Frosty Woolridge
September 17, 2004

"From October 1, 2003 to July 20, 2004, the border patrol’s Tucson sector stopped 9,051 person crossing illegal who had criminal records in the U.S., meaning they committed crimes here, returned to Mexico, then were trying to re-enter the country," Time magazine wrote. "A minimum of 378 had active warrants for their arrest."

Most go undetected.

"The numbers suggest that tens of thousands of criminals, quite possibly hundreds of thousands, treat the border as a revolving door to crimes of opportunity," Steele wrote. "The situation is so out of control that 400,000 illegal aliens who have been ordered deported, 80,000 have criminal records, but Homeland Security does not have a clue as to the whereabouts of any of them, including those from countries that support terrorism."...

Of 114 Iranians with final orders for removal, only 11 could be found and deported. Of 67 Sudanese with final removal orders, only one was deported. Of 46 Iraqis, only four were deported. The rest are free to move about the country.

Not mentioned in the report was the 20,000 member "18th Street Gang" made up of 60% illegal aliens in Los Angeles. It distributes drugs from Mexico, commits robberies daily, extorts businesses and engages in drive-by shootings. Along with them, the 8,000 member MS 13 Central American gangs operate in 28 cities. If anyone wonders why drugs are SO available to our kids, thank our Congress for not fulfilling its oath of office. Even more sobering, these alien criminals are protected in hundreds of cities across the United States by "Special Order 40" that allows them to remain in country without fear of arrest or deportation.

"Both parties and their candidates pay lip service to controlling the borders," Barlett wrote. "In the 99/11 commission’s final report, the panel took note of the immigration breakdown saying, "'Two systemic weaknesses came together in our border system's inability to contribute to an effective defense against 9/11 attacks: a lack of well developed counterterrorism measures as a part of border security and an immigration system not able to deliver on its basic commitments, much less support counterterrorism.'"

The TIME report rendered severe implications toward President Bush and members of Congress on both sides of the corridor. Citizens of the United States were not being served before 9/11 and today, they are JUST as vulnerable as 4,000 illegal aliens cross our borders daily. You have to wonder when Beslan, Russia's tragedy will visit an American school in the near future?

the McAllen, Texas-based Wornick Co.,

No kidding? The same place where Mrs. Mohammed tried to hop a flight after wading across the Rio Grande with a mutilated South African passport? And was subsequently charged with immigration violations?

Any connection? Or just co-eenky-dink?
