Only 700 people live in Crawford.

I'll bet you could call the local DNC in Waco, TX which is 20 miles away.

I'm sure any Democrats in Crawford would be locatable by the official Democrat organization in Waco.

Clarification is needed...
This brit's ideas of "democratic" may differ from our american descriptions..

Then, on the other hand, having an even handed FRepublican hosting him might provide some insight into the american political process he has never seen before..

Whilst I shall be crossing the state to gain an overall insight

That might take a while. I moved once from Houston to Los Angeles in a U-Haul truck. After two days on the road, we finally got to El Paso Tx. Checking the map, we discovered that El Paso Tx is about the half way point between Houston and Los Angeles.

Just hang around the local welfare office, plaintiffs' lawyers' office, and/or adult probation/parole office. You are bound to find Democrats there.

James, I cain't hep ya find no Democrats right there in Crawford, but you might try and look up a bull seller over in Baird by the naame of Bill Burkett. You can probly get his number from the folks at Kinko's. If not, try Joe Lockhart or CBS. They'll know how to get ahold of him.

Whilst you're at it, You could cover some football for the folks back in England. Maybe the UT Longhorns will scrimage a bunch of six year olds. It would be as competitive as the election will be, I betcha.

Come on guys. Be nice.

This Brit is coming all the way over here in search of some political theater. And spending hard cash.

There's some sort of loonie leftie group (Texans for Peace?) that has a house in Crawford.

But it'd be better to start a tour in Elgin. Meyers (beef sausage) and Southside Market (pork sausage). Then Austin for The Iron Works (beef ribs) & The County Line (Prime rib & pork ribs). Then Driftwood for The Salt Lick >BYOB, dry County< (Family style). Then to Cedar Park for Smokey Moes (Fully stuffed potato, everything except pork ribs). Then up 1431 and take a Highland Lakes tour. See you at the True Grits Cafe here in Jonestown or the Bluebonnet Cafe in Inks Lake. Much better pictures and far more fun watching a few demented wanna be hippie veggies in Crawford.

Hope to see you soon!

Hmmmm..... Must be lunch time.

PS: I say "whilst" too.

Here's two samples:

Trip to Crawford, Texas? I suppose you're very objective and all, but does Texas really need another Dan Rather to bash Bush!

Why not ask the people in Waco who saw the Janet Reno debacle when she storm trooped innocent women and children
about the democrats?
Ask the Cuban America community in Miami, of what they think of Democrats, after Elian G.
