RE: the thread title:
Network news is going in the toilet?
I think Pajamarazzi is a much better term.
Rather is just one of the elitist media dinosaurs. They are headed for the tar-pits. Rather's arrogance, and CBS's outright refusal to fire him on the spot, just emboldens the arrogance and criminal behavior of the leftist media -- probably part and parcel to their strategy here.
Let us hope, for the sake of this country, and its freedoms, that the media gets CLEANED UP, and returns to its days when it could be respected for objective journalism and trustworthy news. Those days of old are not with us anymore, a not-so-profound statement, I know.
Bye Bye, won't miss ya, don't bother writing.
Imagine what this country & world would be without their lying influence all these years?????
What a shame.
Not by me. More like deceitfully and arrogantly.
At any rate, with technology the news cycle is much too fast for the networks news. By the time their program airs, the day's news has already been rehashed times over.
I couldn't agree more. Network news influence is on the way out having run into the new forces of instant global communcation available over the web. Finally, the "average Joe" no longer is powerless against the bias and outright lies that have been our pablum since the advent of TV network news. Between the growth of cable TV and and the web, the handwriting is on the wall for the networks.
What exactly is a 'network' station? Is that one of the channels that shows football/baseball games on Saturday & Sunday? IMO that's all they're good for. Cable & the internet is where I get my news. Gather the story from 10+ different sources, and form my own opinion.
BTW, just put a new bumper sticker on my truck:
"VOTE DEMOCRAT, IT'S EASIER THAN THINKING"
Rather didnt simply get caught with his pants down. Its far worse for the old boy, Im afraid.
Much like an outtake from Americas Funniest Home Videos, Rather actually tried to run down the street with his pants around his ankles while screaming Fire! Fire!
It ended badly for Dan, as he ended up falling face-first into the pavement, the ass fully exposed.
Someone should plant an American flag.
Jim Pinkerton gets it.
Well done.
