I just heard that the warning has extended to Chesterfield County. That is where I grew up and I never heard of a tornado in the area in all the years I lived.
Oops! That should read, "in all the years I lived there."
Really interesting part of the otherwise problematic recent History Channel "War of 1812" documentary (They TOTALLY ignored the key theater of the war, the Canadian Border) was that after the British burned Washington DC, they were then hit by a violent hurricane, which spawned a tornado that went through downtown Washington DC and killed a lot of British troops.
